Come and see it.A decision about a parent’s home should not be made from a brochure. Call and ask for a time. A request on this site is not a confirmed visit until the home agrees it.
We will say no if we should. If the home cannot meet a person’s needs, we will say so before a move. A full house, or the wrong kind of care, is a reason to decline.
Read the inspection.CQC has not yet inspected the home under this provider. The previous report is still the latest one, and it is linked on the registration page.

What this home is, and what it is not.

Abbeywood House provides accommodation together with personal care. People who need a nurse on duty in the building, day and night, need a nursing home. That is not this service. A GP and the community nursing team can still support someone who lives here, as they would in a person’s own house.

The home is registered for adults over 65, including dementia and physical disability. It is not a specialist service for people whose main need comes from a learning disability or autism.

A place to ask, before anyone packs a bag.

Tell us who the care is for, what is changing at home, and whether you want a conversation, a visit, or to know if a room could be right. We reply by phone or email. If today is urgent, call the home.
